July 4th is a fun affair usually celebrated with family picnics and barbecues, attending a fireworks display that your local town will put on when the sun goes down. But did you know that July is also National Blueberry Month? This little gem of a berry is considered a super food because of it's high level of vitamin C, loaded with antioxidant power that helps fight aging, cancer and heart disease. We found that blueberries bared similarities to the fruit of our beloved Marula Tree in East Africa. The vitamin C content of the Marula fruit is eight times higher than that in an orange. The fruits are also rich in oleic acids and antioxidants.
We scoured Pinterest for the best blueberry recipes and here is what we came up with.
